How to operate the features in 21st Jigsaw Puzzle

Help: Click on* help on tool bar, then go to help content for more program information. (Picture below is from Lev title)

Opening puzzle: The above image is your opening window when you first run the program. To get to this window later click on the folder button or click on file and scroll to open.
To select/preview a picture clicking on one of the buttons below preview picture. To open the picture being previewed click on the open button.
To open other images click on the circle next to images, making sure all is selected.
To change the size of the puzzle click on one of the circles below size (default, small, medium, large, and custom).
To change the number of pieces click on one of the circles below difficulty (default, easy, medium, hard, custom allow you to select between 4 and 4,000 pieces).
After you have made the selections above click on Open button

I can't find puzzles?
You will see the image above when opening a puzzle . From the C:\ folder scroll down to Program Files folder then click on this folder, next scroll down to 21st Jigsaw Puzzle folder then click on the folder. The puzzles should appear in the preview screen.

Make a jigsaw puzzle of your own image: Under file type click on circle next to images, select all. User the browser to find the folder with the image, click on the file name below the pictures, then click open. On the next window fill in the number of pieces for the puzzle and input the  oddness (see below) then click generate. Fill in the information on the next windows and click on ok button, on the next windows fill in the information and click on save, on the next window click on yes to open the picture as a puzzle. Your picture must be one of the following type of images (BMP,JPG,PCX,MAC,TGA,WMF,ICO,WPG).

Oddness selection: 0 pieces perfectly formed with identical connections, 1 pieces perfectly formed with random connection symmetry., 2 slightly irregular with random width and height. 3-9 increasing irregularity., 10 maximum irregularity

Tool bar:Below is the tool bar on the top of your screen jigsaw3.gif (4799 bytes)
Game sounds: click on jigsaw1.gif (969 bytes) button to turn off/off program noise, example sound when pieces snap together. Above tool bar shows the sounds is on.
Background music: click on jigsaw2.gif (894 bytes) button to turn music on/off.
Picture: click on jigsaw5.gif (933 bytes) button to view a picture of the puzzle. To see an enlarge pictures click on jigsaw10.gif (904 bytes), click on screen return you to the game

Background color: To change the background color of the work area click on jigsaw9.gif (932 bytes) button.

Hint: To find two pieces that fix click on jigsaw12.gif (936 bytes) button, the two flashing pieces will fix together. 

Disarrange pieces: Click on Options (on tool bar) and scroll to disarrange.

Sort pieces: Click on Options (on tool bar) make sure there is a check mark next to sort by shape and sort by color. Any pieces moved will not be sorted.
By edge: click on jigsaw6.gif (918 bytes) button to sort pieces by edge.
By color: click on jigsaw7.gif (925 bytes) button to sort pieces by color
Change jigsaw puzzle size: click on jigsaw4.gif (915 bytes) button. The pieces size window will open, see image on right. Clicking on the arrows will increase or reduce the image size. When done click on the ok button.

Additional work areas: To open additional work area click on jigsaw11.gif (914 bytes) button. Click on* a piece and drag* the piece into the open tray. Pieces can be assembled in additional work areas (see below). To remove pieces from trays just click on a piece and drag the piece to desired location. Deleting a tray will dump all the pieces in a tray on to the main work area. Clicking on the line in the upper right corner of tray will close tray. To open trays either click on the tray number at bottom of screen or click on Trays (on tool bar) scroll to trays.(Picture below is from dog title)

Rotate pieces: Click on Options (on tool bar) scroll to rotate pieces. A windows will open asking if you would like some pieces randomly rotated, click on yes button. To reverse piece rotation click on Cheat (on the tool bar), scroll to Right Way Up.

Time to complete puzzle: Click on Tools (on tool bar) scroll to time limit, a timer windows opens, see image below.  To set alarm click on box next to enable alarm, then click on counts down or up, click on ok when done.

Send a jigsaw puzzle gift: Click on File (on tool bar) scroll to save as gift. The window below will open, see image below. Type your opening message into the left window. If you want a message to be display when the person closes the gift type your message into the right windows. If your e-mail program is Outlook express click on the box next to e-mail this gift. To change the font in the message click on jigsaw13.gif (908 bytes) button, to change the background color of the message click on jigsaw14.gif (939 bytes) button. To select music click on Image15.gif (903 bytes) then click on one of the music files, the file will be highlighted, then click on open.

I have lost pieces: click on the puzzle with your mouse, scroll to send back, lost pieces will appear on top of the puzzle.

Advanced changes: To changing game features (music, sound, color, mouse, miscellaneous) click on Options (on tool bar) scroll to advances, or press the F8 button on the top of your key board. Click on x to deletes files, and  > to moves files
Click on mouse tab to change the distance required for two matching pieces to snap together.
Remove a song: click on music tab, then click on the file in the "current play list" column you want to remove, then click on the single x button. To listen to a music file, click the file ( highlights file) then click on musical notes button.

I have the previous 21st Century Jigsaw Puzzle, now I can't find my previous pictures. Your pictures should be in the following directory C:\Program Files\21st Century Publishing\21st Century Jigsaw Puzzle\Picture
Look for your pictures in a folder at this directory location above.

*Click on :Using your mouse move the cursor on the computer screen to where you need to click. Then press your mouse button.
